Bug identification please?
Today is the official start of meteorological spring in Seattle. I spotted this bug on the gates this morning. No clue what it is.

Gorgeous day
Sunny and 55 today. It is absolutely gorgeous outside. I planted this pussy willow many years ago, 'temporary' at the south side of the house. It is in a terrible spot and needs to be moved.

A snowy day in Seattle
I'm always pleasantly surprised when we get snow here in seattle, we get the beauty without the misery of the bitter cold, shoveling snow or driving to work day after day in icy conditions (our snow melts within half a day).

Snow days
We returned home to a few inches of snow. It was a good time to break out the sweaters and long coat. The fuzzies loved it.

A new leaf
Lots of new leaves. Garden is coming alive with the warm weather. I took a new startegy with the ferns - instead of waiting till the new leaves are out, and the old ones brown out. I am trimming all the old ones bit earlier. We will see how it goes.

Oxalis
Last time I was home (at my mom's), I was coverting her oxalis. She divided and gave me two - one burgundy and one burgundy w/green. I was thrilled!
